Following on from last week’s announcement regarding the companies difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from supplying Glass, we can now confirm that we have accepted an offer from PSV Glass & Glazing to purchase over 50% of our current Glass stocks
Further to this announcement and to support our core activities further, we still have opportunities to sell bulk stocks of windscreens, side bays, door glass and hopper units, from our remaining stock, so please contact Steve Speak at (email@example.com) who will be able to provide you with a stock list.
We appreciate your continued support through these challenging times and can assure you that we are committed to supplying Parts and body Panel requirements to sites across the UK, delivered from our central distribution centre in West Bromwich and our regional branches.

As we are all aware these last 12 months have been some of the most challenging times for all individuals and businesses on a global scale. Like most companies, we have had to adapt our business to protect our staff and the long term future of our organisation.
Last year we adopted a strategy to streamline our business, which included the closure of our Glazing installation division in March 2020. Since then, we have continued to support our customers in whichever way we could, whilst driving reductions in our operating costs to
enable us to adapt to a market that has been severely affected by the pandemic along with the added complications that Brexit has presented.
With the company’s future at the focus, we have taken the difficult decision to withdraw from supplying glass. This additional strategic move enables us to wholly focus on our core product lines of Parts and Panels, securing a premier national service for our dedicated customers.
I am very pleased to say that the changes we have made over the past 12 months have made our core business much stronger, more efficient and resilient to changes in the market. We welcome and appreciate your continued support through these challenging times and can assure you that we are committed to supplying Parts and body Panel requirements to sites across the UK, delivered from our central distribution centre in West Bromwich and our regional branches.

New Chapter for Carlyle
Carlyle Bus & Coach are pleased to announce that the company has been acquired by LPW Europe.
This acquisition brings together the UK’s leading commercial vehicle cleaning specialists with the leading parts & glass distributor to the bus and coach industry.
Established in 1972, LPW Europe’s experience has helped it to become the market leaders in the commercial vehicle cleaning industry and the first choice for high profile national brands, however being a family operated business, LPW also prides itself on supporting smaller growing brands.
Carlyle also being leaders in its respective field will retain its distinct brand and independence, however this exciting acquisition will enable both companies to continue to build and accelerate growth through new opportunities from each other’s markets.
Carlyle bid farewell to both John Turton and Neil Bottrill who leave the board to enjoy their retirement, however the management team has been strengthened in key areas with the addition of Sheila Tomkins, Purchasing Manager and Dale Leach, Glazing Manager.
Mo Hassanyeh, previously Operations Director at Carlyle, has moved into the role of Managing Director with immediate effect. Having worked for Carlyle for 17 years, Mo has vast company and market knowledge and will be the driving force to lead the company forward into its new chapter.
Mo Hassanyeh, commented ‘I am extremely excited by the acquisition, which will now allow us to build on our growth strategy to become the customers first choice in the supply of vehicle parts and glass, whilst continually improving our service and performance levels across all divisions.

Both companies believe the acquisition will not only help them build on their positions as market leaders in their respective fields but also enable them to provide their clients a more efficient, extended service through one joint venture.
Carlyle Joins forces with Reglaze
Carlyle Bus & Coach are pleased to announce the strengthening of their existing glazing business with a partnership with Reglaze Specialist Coach & Bus Glazing.
The partnership will aim to expand on the glazing business and will continue to cover all areas of the UK and Europe with a 24 hour operation. With an extensive amount of stock held in various locations across the UK combined with fully trained teams of glass fitters, Carlyle are now able to offer an unrivalled service. Merging strengths from both Carlyle Bus & Coach Glazing, South West Bus & Coach Glazing and Reglaze will create a force to be reckoned with.
John Turton, Carlyle’s Chairman says, “We both see this as a great opportunity to work together to offer both old and new customers a fantastic service. Reglaze has an enviable reputation for glass fitting which extends primarily from coach glazing into rail.”
Reglaze will continue to operate as a separate company and Gary Blackmore will remain as its Managing Director.

Greener Path Award 2017
We are proud to announce that we have gained an award for our continual efforts to reduce our carbon footprint for a consecutive year. The ‘Greener Path Award’ is in recognition of exceptional performance in our waste and recycling operation. By working closely with ACM Environmental, we have fully optimized the diversion of waste from landfill. Various measures are taken to make certain that we are able to sustain our high levels of waste management throughout the company and we are continuously seeking innovative methods of all waste disposal.
Our customers will notice that we repackage our parts where possible with recycled cardboard and plastics. We then recycle the excess cardboard, paper and plastics along with broken glass and metal from our workshops. The tonnes of wood used to deliver our larger products are sent to be used for an equine alternative bedding system in stables.
Moving forward we are fully committed to sustaining our ‘zero waste to landfill’ status in 2018.
Carlyle Bus & Coach are expanding with two large buildings at their existing Head Office site. Providing more space to hold a vast amount of stock will ensure their customer’s vehicle down-time is kept to a minimum.
Carlyle is at a very interesting stage in its long history and has made a number of changes in previous months. With a strengthened senior management team, their newly appointed directors will help to take them into the next stage of their development. Steven Speak has been appointed as UK Sales Director and Mo Hassanyeh has been appointed as Operations Director. Both Steven and Mo have worked for Carlyle for the last 10 years and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their new positions.
Carlyle Chairman John Turton said, ‘I am absolutely delighted with these appointments. Steven and Mo have worked very hard and thoroughly deserve their promotions. Bringing younger members onto the board of directors, ensures continuity of the business.’

Success in Northern Ireland
Carlyle Bus & Coach has successfully secured an exclusive glass supply contract with Translink in Northern Ireland. This new contract will enhance Carlyle’s current business and will expand on what they already stock.
Diarmaid Thompson, Carlyle’s Dublin Branch Manager says, “It is great to have another major bus company, with 1450 vehicles in the Ulster Bus fleet on board with us. We have a great relationship with Translink and we will continue to provide them with a first class service for both glass and body parts”
Carlyle’s Dublin branch is Ireland’s largest stockist of bus and coach parts. With a full range of parts and glass stocked on site, the branch offers a fast and reliable delivery service and is fed VOR and stock replenishment from the huge stock held at their Head Office in the West Midlands.
Contracts such as this are a clear example of Carlyle’s continual investment in developing its network and range of products throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide and specifically it demonstrates Carlyle’s support for the bus and coach industry in Ireland.

Under the current circumstances of these difficult economic times, as a company we felt that it was appropriate to donate money to charity rather than sending out Christmas cards to our customers and suppliers.
We therefore chose to donate £150.00 to 4 charities, all of which were nominated by members of our staff. We have recived thank you letters and certificates for our donations and are proud to have supported these charities.
